Shopping Haul

So most of my posts in this blog will normally be aimed at a specific item, or similar products, however as I spent a few hours shopping over the weekend I figured I might as well have my first post showing my new items.

This shopping trip mainly began because I decided it was time to purchase a new bag, after looking around online I saw that River Island had some interesting designs, so that was my first stop. I've never actually purchased anything from River Island in my life, but decided I was willing to give them a go.
I found this beauty, which actually comes in a few different colours so took me a while to pick one.

I wanted a bag that was a bit bigger than mine, but not so big that I started acting like Mary Poppins again. This is also the most I've ever spent on a bag, but figured I deserve to treat myself every now and then!
The bag does also come with a long strap, so there are two ways to use it, I personally prefer attaching the longer bag strap.

So far I love the bag, I guess only time will tell how long it lasts and if I have any issues with it.

Next stop was Urban Decay at Debenhams, after trying a small sample of their Beauty Balm I decided to buy the next size up. UD offer a travel size of their Naked Skin Beauty Balm for £9, which they claim can last you around 6 - 9 months, so if it lasts for that long it's quite a bargain. Can also get the full size one for £23.

I loved this product from the first time I tried it, it leaves your skin smooth and silky, very similar to Benefits Porefessional, but with a slight tint. When used under foundation as a primer, I find that I can get away with using less as there is already a base colour there for me to work with.
I have combination skin, varying from dry to oily on different days, and I find this helps to mattify my skin throughout the day but also help cover any dryness, all of this with the added bonus of SPF 20.

Lastly I found a few little bits in Boots, I've used the Poker Straight Flat Iron Protection Mist before and was very impressed with it. My hair has a natural curl to it, so I've experimented around with sprays and serums to get my hair straight and frizz free. I find this spray can make your hair feel sticky if you put too much on your hair, so I would recommend spraying in sparingly or even spray it on your brush and then brushing it through your hair. I normally brush it through my hair after I've dried my hair. I  find this spray very effective and keeps your hair straight and smooth, and find myself constantly going back to this product after trying different sprays, so I'm not sure why I only buy the travel size.

Next I came across the Matt Fat Hair Powder, I haven't actually used this product before but I saw that it was reduced from £10 to £2 and couldn't pass up such a bargain, so will put a review up after I've had a chance to mess around with it.

My last purchase was also on a whim, but I've used Soap and Glory before and have their original hand moisturiser, however I needed a new travel size for work, so figured I'd give this one a chance and see if it's any better as you can also use it as a mask. I'll post a review up after I've used it a few times.

Have you used any of these products before? Any thoughts or tips?
